The Hartness Library serves as the home lending library for all members of the CCV and VTC academic communities to borrow library items from any Vermont State College library, including the Hartness Library, using the library catalog. Faculty who would like to visit other academic libraries in Vermont in person to borrow books, can use the Vermont Consortium of Academic Libraries (VCAL) faculty borrowing program. Complete the Borrower Details portion of the application form, and mail, fax, or email to:
Main St., Randolph Center, VT 05061
A borrower’s card will be issued to you. In addition, at the time of patron registration at the lending library you may be asked to provide a photo ID and contact information. By signing the application form, you agree to follow the lending libraries’ and your home library’s policies and procedures. Borrowing privileges must be renewed annually and may be revoked by your home or lending library at any time. Hartness Library home delivery service is excluded from this program, though most books and periodical articles can alternatively be obtained through interlibrary loan. You must visit the lending library and borrow materials in person to take advantage of the program. If you have questions, please contact Jane Kearns or by phone at 802-728-1231.
