Library materials are delivered and returned throughout the state; therefore, our system of fees and billing is designed to be flexible and account for transit time. If you receive an overdue notice for an item that you have already returned, contact the library for an updated status.
When an item is overdue, you will receive ongoing notices through your college email address. If an item is not returned within 14 days after the final overdue notice, then it is considered lost and you will be billed for the cost of a replacement. This may include a $10.00 processing fee per item. If a lost item is then found and returned, your bill will be waived.
If you know the item is lost, contact the library to coordinate payment or purchase. Do not purchase a replacement copy of a lost item unless you have been instructed to by library staff.
If there is an outstanding fee on your library account, a hold may be placed on your CCV or Vermont Tech Student account. You will not be able to register for classes, receive grades, or acquire transcripts until the bill is paid and/or the account is cleared. Please contact the library if you have questions about library holds or to have a hold removed.
