(The Information Literacy Tutorial)TILT is a tutorial designed to help students become familiar with concepts and terminology related to library and Web research, evaluating and citing sources, and understanding how to use information for academic work. It is divided into four modules covering different aspects of the research process:
- Sources of Information
- Finding Information
- Evaluating Sources of Information
- Using Information from your Sources
TILT & TILT Quizzes in MoodleFaculty members who teach research-intensive courses such as English Composition or Introduction to Research Methods are encouraged to incorporate TILT into their course curriculum and Moodle course pages. To make this easier, the library has created pre-built TILT modules and quizzes that can be added to your Moodle course. Adding the TILT modules will create a link to each section of TILT and add an associated 10 question Moodle Quiz addressing the concepts in that section. (The quizzes can be loaded ungraded or tied into your Moodle gradebook.) The TILT modules and quizzes will initially appear at the top of your class in Week 0, but you can feel free to edit them or move them to different weeks to fit your course’s needs or to align with specific assignments or objectives. PDF) and the quizzes (PDF) are also available.
