What I do at the library
I am a Reference Librarian on the Randolph Center campus in Hartness Library. I provide library services online, over the phone and in person to students, staff and faculty from VT TECH and CCV. I assist with circulation, interlibrary loan, acquisitions, cataloguing, exploring OER resources, and maintaining library user’s accounts.
What I’m reading/listening to/watching right now
I am guilty of mostly reading cookbooks, and looking at gardening books. I love to listen to instrumental music, and watch period pieces and comedies.
Favorite “hidden library gems”
The Art of Time – Jean-Louis Servan-Schreiber
The time keeper: a novel – Mitch Albom
Fun fact
I rescued a macaw that had flown into our backyard. If you ever find yourself in a position of trying to capture a parrot – bananas, a blanket, and some really heavy gloves are my recommendations.
Favorite animal
We own an American Staffordshire Terrier (Staffie for short) – Her name is Maggie and she is a love.
What’s the most recent book you bought for the library?
The Great Mental Models Volume 1: General Thinking Concepts – Shane Parrish
