What I do at the library
I help manage our electronic resources, including the databases and periodicals. I also create the occasional instructional video for the nursing and allied health programs. When I’m not working on electronic resources, I’m helping students with research in person in Williston or online via email and chat. Each semester I can be found as an embedded librarian in a few Moodle courses, as well!
What’s I’m reading/listening to/watching right now
I reread Elizabeth Peter’s Vicky Bliss series every few years – this trend will probably continue as long as I can turn a page! Just recently I started watching Westworld.
Favorite “hidden library gem”
I get a kick whenever I scroll over a coworker’s picture on the library website and see the alternative (usually goofy) photo that’s hidden behind it.
I used to memorize poetry when I got nervous; I can still recite about half of The Raven from Poe by memory and even a few sonnets.
Foxes! It doesn’t matter what type, region, or color – I think all foxes are pretty adorable.
What’s the most recent book you bought for the library?
Searching Skills Toolkit: Finding the Evidence. But I also bought standing display racks for the Williston library, and personally, I think they’re pretty cool.
