2. Mouse over Articles below the name of the library and click on All Databases in the dropdown menu.
3. In the alphabetical guide at the top, click on the beginning letter of the database you’d like to use, then on the database name itself. Alternatively you can scroll down and review information about all the databases before selecting one.
4. At Hartness Library locations, you'll go into the database after clicking on the name.
5. At home, enter your Blackboard User ID (initials, birth month, birth day, zero).
6. Then enter your Blackboard password (initials, last four digits of your social security number).
7. Click on Login.
8. Below the search box, where it says “Limit the results,” remove the checkmark next to peer-reviewed publications unless you need only scholarly publications. Leave the checkmark next to documents with full text.
9. Notice that you can also limit to particular date ranges and/or publication titles and subject.
10. Directly underneath the search box you may choose to search in Keywords, Subjects, or in the entire text of the article. In most cases you will want to use Keyword, which is the default. That will bring up more results.
11. Enter your search terms, using the word and between terms. For example: Vermont and history
12. Click on Search.
13. You will get a list of search results if there are any.
14. Click on the title of the article to see more.
15. To print, click on PDF under the title if that option is available. That version will look exactly like the original magazine.
16. Then click on the tiny printer on the left directly above the article and click OK when the Print box comes up.
17. If a PDF version isn’t available, click on the small Print icon on the left near the top.

19. For help with any step, click on the small Help with a question mark on the upper right.
