Step 10. Write a Rough Draft
Based on the structure of your outline, prepare a first draft of your paper. When constructing your paper, be sure to follow the basic structure of your outline:
- introduction
state your thesis, catch the reader’s attention, and establish the focus of the paper
- body
support your thesis with examples, quotations, and facts
- conclusion
summarize your main points, finalize your argument, and conclude your thesis
