Search Google Scholar
Google Scholar searches Hartness subscription library databases, as well as Web-based journal indexes and college and university websites, to retrieve academic materials like book excerpts, reports, and articles.
Search Google Scholar Here
When you search using this search box on the library website, you will automatically see articles you have access to in library databases.
In your results, you'll have the option to specify type of content or materials from a specific date. Some materials may be freely available online and appear as PDF or HTML links; when the Hartness Library has access to an article, it will show up as "Full-Text @ Hartness." Click on the link to retrieve it from a library database.

Search Google Scholar Anywhere
You can access Google Scholar at http://scholar.google.com and still connect to subscription materials in Hartness Library databases. You will first need to set your preferences to tell Google Scholar that you have access.
1. From the main Google Scholar page click on the Settings icon.

2. Locate the Library Links option. Enter Hartness as your library and then click on Find Library. When Hartness Library shows up as a result, check off that box.

3. Save your preferences - you may have to do this every time you use Google Scholar or every time you use a new Internet browser window.

Note: If you are logged into a Google account, these preferences will be saved and you should only have to go through this once.
