Citation Tools

Database Citation Tools

Several databases offer tools which will provide you with a MLA or APA formatted citation for the article. These tools can be great time savers, but remember to double-check the citation format and proofread your work, as the citations may still have inconsistencies or errors.

After you have performed a search for articles in a database, and located an article, you will see the option for a citation tool (when available).

Web-Based Citation Tools

Though these may help you get the basic template of a citation, they may vary in format or edition of a particular style guide (MLA, APA, etc...). We strongly encourage you to double check your citation format and verify it with the style guide format and edition your faculty member requested before handing in your work.
