Persistent Links to Videos in Nursing Education in Video Database
Note: Recently we have been experiencing difficulties with embedding videos from the library's streaming video database in Moodle courses. Newer versions of many web browsers are blocking the embedded video, leaving just a blank space. The vendors are working to address the issue, but in the mean time we suggest linking to videos rather than embedding them.
Using persistent links allows you to access Hartness Library materials through email, on websites, in Moodle course sites etc... However, the correct URL must be used to maintain login authentication for many of the Library’s databases. URLs must contain the letters hrt and the word libraries for authentication.
- Select a video from the list of available titles to play.
- Select Embed/Link at top of screen – from the popup, you can copy this url into an email, website, Moodle course site, etc… You also have the option to copy the embed code.
- To copy a specific segment, use the clips tab and select the link icon.
- Paste the link in an email, website, Moodle course site, etc…
