Persistent Links to Articles & eBooks in EBSCO Databases
Using persistent links allows you to direct students to Hartness Library materials through email, on websites, in Moodle course sites etc... However, the correct URL must be used to maintain login authentication for many of the Library’s databases. URLs must contain the letters hrt and the word libraries for authentication.
- Use any database collection from EBSCO to search for magazine or journal articles (i.e. Academic Search Premier, Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition etc...).
- Once you have found an article, click on the title of that article.

- Locate the “Permalink” tool, click on it, and copy link provided.

- Paste the link in an email, website, Moodle course site, etc…
Persistent Links to Search Results in EBSCO Databases
Following the same instructions as above, you can also link to your search results from any EBSCO database. After you complete the search, click on "Alert/Save/Share" to get the permalink to that search.

Persistent Links to Specific Publications in EBSCO Databases
- Use the Publications button to look up a specific magazine or journal that is housed in one of the EBSCO databases.

- Enter the name of the publication, then follow the link in your results.

- From the publication record page, click on "Alert/Save/Share" to link to that publication page. From here you can also opt to Search within this publication.

- Paste the link in an email, website, Moodle course site, etc…
