Persistent Links to Articles & eBooks in EBSCO Databases

Using persistent links allows you to direct students to Hartness Library materials through email, on websites, in Moodle course sites etc...  However, the correct URL must be used to maintain login authentication for many of the Library’s databases. URLs must contain the letters hrt and the word libraries for authentication.

Example: http://hrt-proxy.libraries.vsc.edu/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=aph&AN=27872854&site=ehost-live

  1. Use any database collection from EBSCO to search for magazine or journal articles (i.e. Academic Search Premier, Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition etc...).
  2. Once you have found an article, click on the title of that article.

Persistent Links to Search Results in EBSCO Databases

Following the same instructions as above, you can also link to your search results from any EBSCO database. After you complete the search, click on "Alert/Save/Share" to get the permalink to that search.
